Ways of using essential oils - THE ORAL / SUBLINGUAL WAY

Essential oils can be used in different ways: cutaneous application, in diffusion and olfactory route or orally.

Today we will only talk about the use of essential oils orally or sublingually. We know the diffusion method well as we talked about in our other article: Ways of using essential oils - Diffusion

We know homeopathy which uses the capsule under the tongue, although here it will be the same. Why are you going to say? It is rather why not take advantage of the richness of the blood and nervous network.

It is strongly advised to use a neutral support such as a spoon of vegetable oil or honey, on a neutral tablet , on a piece of cane sugar or in a little yogurt.

Dilution in a neutral support reduces the taste of essential oils and avoids overdosing. This method of administration allows essential oils to deliver their biochemical, energetic and informational activities almost instantaneously.

In practice:

Adult:

  • 1 to 2 drops of chemotyped essential oil 3 to 4 times a day

Child from 6 to 12 years old:

  • 1 drop of chemotyped essential oil 3 to 4 times a day

An alternative to the drop-by-drop dosage, which can sometimes be tasty and more complex to administer, is essential oil pearls and capsules. It is a new way of consuming essential oils that is simpler and more practical. As mentioned before, the oral route is the route par excellence. On the other hand, it is the route that presents more risk than the others. Oil "pills" have 3 advantages:

  • A simplified dosage : 1 pearl equals 1 drop (pearls), synergy (Oleocaps).
  • A neutral taste : for those who have difficulty with the strong taste of essential oils in drops.
  • A practical size can be taken anywhere

Caution:

The use of essential oils orally in children under 6 and in pregnant women should not be done without medical advice.

The proposals for care with essential oils should in no way replace a diagnosis or other medical treatment, but should be a means of action to improve small daily discomforts. If the symptoms remain, medical consultation is necessary and irreplaceable.
