Lemon eucalyptus (eucalyptus citriodora/Corymbia citriodora)

This eucalyptus has a very different biochemical profile and makes it an essential oil with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and mosquito-repellent properties (like citronella?).

This essential oil contains a significant amount of citronellal, a highly negative terpene aldehyde.

Lemon eucalyptus is sometimes called the “firefighter” of aromatherapy because it calms and soothes inflamed areas.

Used topically in aromatherapy to help relieve joint and muscle pain associated with sprains, strains, and rheumatoid arthritis. Also used in aromatherapy to help relieve headaches, colds, and coughs.
